UNDEFEATED!! Way to go Chargers

It's been way to long since I've posted anything, but hopefully my life will get back to normal somewhat!! A couple weeks ago Kaden's football, the Chargers, played in the semi-finals and went on the win the championship game. It was alot of fun to see him improve over the season. He didn't have alot of time with his cast on most of the season, but he did awesome. This was a great experience for Kaden and all of us. Special thanks to his coaches, they did a great job. It was amazing all the time they took to help these kids be the best they could be. It was actually my first time seeing playbooks, etc.. for flag football, but it worked. Not only are they great coaches, but a great influence on the kids, always positive and encouraging. Thanks again for the great season!!

Ready, Set, HIKE!!

Along with his broken arm, Kaden played his first flag football game last night. He had been practicing at QB, but due to injury has moved to center. He did a great job, and was happy to still be able to play and be apart of the team. Coach Staheli brought padding and wrapped his arm up good (they were worried parents might think it was a weapon). We are so grateful that his coaches did all they could to enable him to play. He did get to go for a pass, but the ball kinda bounced off the padding. He will keep trying, he knows he can do it!! (and so do we) It was alot of fun to watch him play and see him enjoying himself. This is his first experience with football and I think he will probably stick with it for awhile. Great job Kaden, you're awesome!!
We love you for your hard work and big heart.

can you see the big white pad on his arm??? (I know, hard to miss)

Broken!!

Well, last night I was sending Kaden on an errand to the neighbors and to avoid a car, he jerked out of the way and fell on his ripstik. I didn't know it had started to rain so the road was slippery! (I know, great mom) It has been awhile since one of us had a broken bone so I guess our time is due. It broke my heart last night to see him so upset and trying to be tough. He wouldn't cry or shriek with pain in front of anyone. He was a real trooper! He was mainly upset because if it needed to be cast, he might not be able to play football(his first game is wed.) Well, hopefully with it wrapped and padded he will still be able to be part of his team, he has worked so hard and really wants to play. After doing xrays and stuff last night we had to go back today to get cast on. Kaden was a little happier when he got to pick out a color, last time they only had white (yes, last time, he's done this before). As you can see, he has a smile on his face once again and ready to jump right back in to his old self. If I know Kaden, he will be back on his ripstik before days end!!!

Another Birthday!!

September is a busy month. With 6 of us, 3 have birthdays!
Karson had his birthday on Tues (16th) and had a great time!
We had a few neighbors over for cake & ice cream.
He is growing up so fast, I wish I could stop him!! Little ones are so much fun at birthday time, to bad we don't look forward to them when we get my age.
Karson has turned into Yoda (and every other star wars character)with his new light sabre. Our back lawn has turned into a pond so he can practice fishing! He has put pieces of, who knows what, all over so he can "catch the fish."
What fun life is when your young and not a worry in the world.

baseball cake he made

Karson wanted to eat at 'Samurai 21' for his
b-day dinner. I think it's the idea of the fun,
because he's scared of the fire and only eats
the noodles (money's no worry when your 5)

Braiden turns 12!!

On Sunday, Sept. 7, Braiden received the Priesthood. Wow!! He has really grown up in a hurry. We are so proud of him and the young man he is becoming. He truly is a great example to all those around him. We love you "B"

With crooked ties, forced smiles and total chaos, we somehow managed to get a family picture!

Time again for SOCCER!!

Last year Kars was a little hesitant to get into the mix and kick the ball, this year he came out with a bang!! He told us before the game that "if I'm on fire, we will win." He scored 6 goals, and along with his teammates other goals, came out with a win! He is certainly a joy to have around and brings much life to our family!

Karson takin' it to the goal to score!!
